Later Life Training was set up in 2003 by 3 people passionate about research, and translating research into practice in order to improve the lives of older people.  The original three directors either work in, or are consultants for Universities (Glasgow Caledonian University, University College London, Derby University and Loughborough University). We either have worked, or continue to work, with the Scottish Government, the Department of Health, NHS Health Scotland, Department of Work and Pensions, Department of Trade and Industry, Age UK, the National Association of Providers of Activities, the Stroke Association and the World Health Organisation on all things active ageing. We have recently taken on two new Directors to compliment the team.

Our uniqueness in a large market of training providers?

All of our courses are informed by current best practice and research, this is essential for the effective development of services and partnership working with health professionals and for the credibility of self employed exercise instructors.
